A Gift That Will Give Forever
The Daily Bread Community Food Pantry is actively seeking a building that could become our permanent home. The current building has become too small for our needs. We’ve identified two to three properties and continually seek more that could give our mission an established place in this community.
We need to raise $600,000 to $800,000 to make this a reality.
In this season of great joy and giving, please consider a contribution to our building fund in any amount you and your loved ones see fit. Many donations together no matter how large or small could make the dream of a permanent place our reality. It could be a great way to honor a family member, friend or loved one and would be a gift that is made known each time a parent, child or senior citizen can go home and not have to worry about where their next meal will come from. All contributions are tax deductible and would mean more to this community and to us than you may ever know.
Making a donation online is secure and easy. Just click this button and follow the prompts.

About Our Building Fund
The lease at 360 Gravel Pike is coming to an end so the Board is weighing issues and factors related to the location of the Pantry. Our current Landlords, the Daughenbaughs, have been very gracious to DBCFP during this past year and the purchase of the current location is an option that is being considered. Because DBCFP has not entered into an agreement to purchase, the owners have placed the property on the market. Before making a decision on a ‘permanent” arrangement, the Board wants to make certain that it has as much information as possible. This would include being aware of buildings/properties that could accommodate both the current and foreseeable future needs. We invite you to share any leads (long term lease or purchase) which meet the following criteria:
- Usable area
- 7,000 square feet with the option to add on & expand if needed
- Must be climate controlled
- Need air conditioning and heating
- Well insulated
- Utilities-public w/s, electric, phone/internet
- Commercial zoning
- At least 50 parking spaces
- Handicapped accessible
- Working bathroom(s)
- Separate sink (to rinse off produce, spills on food cans, etc.)
- Serve the entire Perkiomen school district with a 5-10 mile buffer around it. Prefer Collegeville, Schwenksville, Zieglersville
The Daily Bread Community Food Pantry is most grateful for the financial and in-kind donations it receives. Without the generosity of the local community, the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry would be unable to provide the quality and level of service that is so desperately needed. Now the food pantry has moved down the road to Rahns at 360 Gravel Pike. Renovations to the new location are underway. While we will be renting initially, we hope to be able to purchase the building, which we think will accommodate the needs of Daily Bread for the foreseeable future. Now more than ever, Daily Bread needs support in the form of volunteers, prayers, food donations and financial donations. If we are going to be in a position to purchase the property, financial support for both operations and acquisition are essential. Daily Bread is now gratefully accepting financial donations in support of these efforts.
